The All Progressives Congress (APC) has continued to spring surprises in Saturday’s general elections, winning the Senatorial and Presidential polls in unit 004 Hinderea Road, Liverpool area, Apapa Lagos. The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, Mr Jimi Agbaje voted at the polling unit. Announcing the results after delays in sorting the votes, the Polling Officer, Mr Omolain Ehichioya, said the APC polled 83 votes in the presidential election at the unit while PDP got 80 votes. He said the Young Democratic Party (YPP) , the Social Democratic Party (SDP) the African Democratic Party (ADP), and African Action Congress (AAC) and Alliance for Peoples Agenda (APA) and Yes Electorate Solidarity (YES) party got one vote each. Former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio has expressed displeasure with the turn of events during Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections’, saying the process was disrupted by thugs hired the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who did not allow the wishes of the people to prevail. Speaking to reporters at his polling unit while waiting for results to be announced, Akpabio said the PDP were shocked with the performance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election and therefore resorted to carting away result sheets, to disrupt the process. Presidential Candidate Of Peoples Democratic Party Alhaji Atiku Abubakar arrived back in Abuja as Ben Bruce and some other PDP members recived him. 

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on Saturday defeated President Muhammadu Buhari in one of the two polling units located inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja. There are two polling units in the seat power. For PU 022 Atiku polled 525 against Buhari’s 465. For the senatorial election, PDP won with 546 votes against APC’s 477. For the House of Representatives, PDP won with 521 votes against APC’s 466. There are still results of three voting points pending in the second polling unit, PU 021. Congress (APC) has won the presidential election in the polling unit of Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State. Mr Buhari beat Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) , Atiku Abubakar, to the second place with 453 votes to 80 votes.

President Muhammadu Buhari has won at the polling unit in Benue State Government House in Makurdi. Buhari, the APC candidate polled 125 votes to defeat PDP’s candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who scored 122 votes
