‘I Was Born Blind’ – Chidinma Ekile Reveals In New Interview With Guardian Magaz

Chidinma Ekile, the winner of MTN Project Fame 2010, covers Guardian Life magazine where she point out that she was born blind.

In her chat with Guardian Life, she revealed she couldn’t see for some months when she was born according to her parents.

She said :

“I felt the need to help kids that find themselves in such situations or worse.

So every time I travel to these places, I try to extend a hand of love to these children.” Chidinma Ekile is an artist, actor and philanthropist who shot herself into the limelight after winning Project Fame 2010.

Three Katsina varsity students killed in ghastly motor accident on their way home after exams

  Three students of the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYUK) have died in a ghastly motor accident on their way home after concluding their examinations.   It was gathered that the accident involving a commercial bus occurred along Katsina – Dutsin-ma highway on Tuesday evening, April 20.    The Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the SUG President, Umar Ahmad, who confirmed the report in a statement on Wednesday April 21, said two other students were injured in the accident.    "With immense sorrow, pain and grief, The student's Union Government regret to announce the untimely demised of some students. They were involved in a ghastly car accident yesterday on their way back from school to their various destination," the statement reads.   He gave the names of the injured as Halilu Ibrahim - Edu.   A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Minna, Niger State has remanded a housewife, Amina Aliyu along with three other accused persons over allegations of conspiracy and culpable homicide.   LIB   reported that the newlywed, Fatima Aliyu,19, was allegedly beaten to death with a pestle and her body set on fire by Amina in Minna, on Tuesday March 23, seven weeks after her wedding. Amina, who is nursing a three-week-old baby boy was arraigned alongside Aisha Mohammed, Zainab Aliyu and Fauziyya Rabi’u, by operatives of Homicide section of the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Niger State Police Command, on Wednesday, March 31.   The accused persons were alleged to have conspired among themselves to kill Amina’s co-wife, Fatima.   According to the Police First Information Report (FIR), Amina Aliyu and Fati Aliyu were both married to the same husband and reside on Mandela Road, Sauka-Kahuta area of Minna.
