Onnoghen Pleads Not Guilty To All Charges, Granted Bail On Self Recognition

Suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, has left the premises of the Code of Conduct Tribunal CCT after he pleaded not guilty to the six charges levelled against him by the Federal government. 

He was granted bail by the tribunal on self recognition.

The trial was adjourned till March 11th.

Onnoghen arrived the CT premises this morning, two days after a bench warrant for his arrest was issued by the Tribunal. The bench warrant has since been withdrawn.

Three Katsina varsity students killed in ghastly motor accident on their way home after exams

  Three students of the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYUK) have died in a ghastly motor accident on their way home after concluding their examinations.   It was gathered that the accident involving a commercial bus occurred along Katsina – Dutsin-ma highway on Tuesday evening, April 20.    The Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the SUG President, Umar Ahmad, who confirmed the report in a statement on Wednesday April 21, said two other students were injured in the accident.    "With immense sorrow, pain and grief, The student's Union Government regret to announce the untimely demised of some students. They were involved in a ghastly car accident yesterday on their way back from school to their various destination," the statement reads.   He gave the names of the injured as Halilu Ibrahim - Edu.
